From supplier to software company
In 2010, we became the first supplier of 100% renewable electricity on our market. We helped thousands of households switch to green energy. But we quickly realized that selling clean power wasn't enough.
The more renewables enter the grid, the harder it gets to keep it stable. So we asked ourselves: what if households could help stabilize the grid instead?
Built by us, for us. Then for everyone.
Our in-house developers built the solution from scratch. We tested it on our own retail portfolio, connecting real households to balancing markets. It worked.
We proved that even small residential assets, such as heat pumps, batteries, EV chargers, can participate in grid stabilization. And the households get paid for it. That technology is now a SaaS platform available to electricity suppliers across Europe.
We already power flexibility programs for industry leaders like E.ON, and we're just getting started.
